Individual Lectures or Presentations
Faculty at LVAIC institutions
are invited to give a one-time, individual guest presentation in
regularly scheduled courses taught by colleagues at other LVAIC
colleges. Any professor may offer a profile of a presentation or
a lecture that will serve as the resource for hosts seeking to invite
speakers/presenters. Any professor in the LVAIC consortium may request
a guest presenter. The assignments will be made on a first-come,
first-served basis. This program can support up to 20 guest presenters
per academic year. The honorarium for being a one-time guest speaker
or presenter in a course is $150.
Professors may give a
traditional lecture, or a demonstration, conduct a group interactive
experience, lead an off-campus field trip, or any other format or
module that is pedagogically appropriate. In order to offer this
opportunity as widely as possible, each professor who will be a
guest in a course is limited to making two guest presentations per
academic year.
