During the past decade, collaboration among our member institutions has advanced significantly in the areas of purchasing and shared services. The growing number of ventures under our Director of Business Services have helped to achieve a key component of LVAIC's mission -- "to engender greater economy and efficiency of operation among its member institutions."

The Business Services component of LVAIC has been profiled as a national model of procurement efficiency with a business portfolio of over $70 million in group purchasing of products and services.

The successful collaborative purchasing programs have generated substantial cost avoidance savings for the participating institutions, enabling smaller institutions to realize better pricing and access to higher quality products and services.
